Why Study Business Administration?
Business administration serves as the backbone in every industry, laying the structure upon which each organization develops, grows and changes. Earning a business administration degree provides the skills and knowledge needed to navigate in our ever-changing personal and professional worlds ethically and well.
Business administration is a generalist degree, and students leave with a core foundation across the business disciplines. The career path depends on student interests and background. We currently have students in fields including retail, landscaping, construction, state and county government, and many more.
A.S. students often move on to 4-year programs, and can specialize in areas such as marketing, human resources, finance, and management, among others.
A.A.S. students can move directly into entry-level positions in a variety of industries including government, non-profit, or private industry

A launch pad for completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting, the A.S. program focuses on the humanities, math, and sciences, as well as accounting, law, and marketing.
This program prepares students for transfer to complete work for a bachelor’s degree with specialization in business administration or accounting. The College’s numerous transfer agreements enable students to continue their education seamlessly at partners including Central Connecticut State University, Johnson and Wales University, Pace University, St. John Fisher, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Brockport, SUNY College of Technology at Utica/Rome, SUNY Empire State, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Plattsburgh, the University at Albany, the University of Arizona, The College of St. Rose, Dominican College, LeMoyne College, Marist College, and Siena College.
